Connie L. Russell, 71, of Sandusky, died unexpectedly Tuesday morning, March 11, 2008, at her residence.
She was born August 11, 1936, in Trowbridge, Ohio. She moved from Oak Harbor to Sandusky in 1948, where she lived her life. Connie was a 1954 graduate of Sandusky High School. She attended Anderson College in Indiana and The Binghamton School of Nursing in New York. She was a homemaker for 47 years, with miscellaneous work during that time which included Sandusky Foundry, artist at Cedar Point, and a child caregiver. Her interests included classical music, movies and reading.
She is survived by her husband of 49 years, John "Jim" Russell; two sons, Randolph of Brooklyn, N.Y. and Jeffrey of Sandusky; two grandchildren, Benjamin and Allison; two brothers, Daniel of Milan and David of Toledo; two sisters, Alyce of Sandusky and Rebecca of California; and nieces, nephews and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents, David and Eleanor (Meilink) Klinger.
At the request of the deceased, there will be no visitation or services. Burial will be in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron. Pfeil Funeral Home, Sandusky Chapel, is in charge of the arrangements.
