Ronald G. Knott, 66, of Clyde, died Monday, March 10, 2008, in Wade Park Veteran's Hospital, Cleveland.
Mr. Knott was born Sept. 30,1941, in Willard, to Gerald andMary (Morrow) Knott. He graduated from Willard High School in 1958 and served in the U.S. Army and Air Force for 15 years before becoming a truck driver for Signal Delivery and then Bar-None Trucking, from which he retired in 1995.
Ron was a member of Clyde Eagles; Clyde VFW, Clyde Moose and Willard American Legion. He enjoyed golfing and fishing among his activities.
Survivors include his wife, Lannie (Moore) Knott; his father, Gerald Knott of Mansfield; his daughter, Shelley (Jim) Croll of Norwalk; son, Chad Knott of Columbus; a stepdaughter, Patty (David) Shope Munson of Clyde; 13 grandchildren; three sisters, Sharon Beaugard of Florida, Diane Small of Mansfield and Joann Knott of Mansfield; and two brothers, Gary Knott, and Lynn Knott, both of Willard.
He was preceded in death by his mother, and a step-son, Bradley Shope.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Mitchell-Auxter Funeral Home, 218 S. Main St., Clyde, where the funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, with theRev. Junior Kerns officiating.
