Joel Keith Krynock, 60, ofLakeside, died unexpectedly Monday, March 10, 2008, in Magruder Hospital in Port Clinton.
He was born Oct. 5, 1947, in Port Clinton, the son of Joseph and Harriet (Hetrick) Krynock. Keith was a 1965 graduate of Danbury High School and graduated from Baldwin Wallace College. He was employed for more than 38 years at LaFarge North America (formerly Standard Slag Co.) and was a member of the local chapter of United Steelworkers. He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Marblehead, a social member of the VFW Post 7572 of Marblehead, was an avid Ohio State fan and just loved helping everyone in any way he could.
Surviving are his wife, Diane (Biglin), whom he married Oct. 14, 1989; his mother, Harriet Krynock of Lakeside; brother, Kent (Lori) Krynock of Fremont; sisters Bonnie (Bruce) Shank of Fremont and Marsha Helin of Lakeside; special aunts and uncle, Margaret Silverwood and Jane and George Krynock; his extended family from the Shelby area, including his father and mother-in-law, Lawrence and Mary Alice Biglin; brothers-in-law, Robert Biglin, Richard (Pat) Biglin and Ronald (Penny) Biglin; sisters-in-law, Linda (Yogi) Moore and Janice (Mark) Wolford and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph, and a sister, Nedra Cassidy.
Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, Peninsula Chapel, Marblehead, where funeral services will be at11 a.m. Friday. The Rev. Chris Young will officiate. Burial will follow in Sackett Cemetery.
