Alice Marie (Chamberlain) Brady, 64, residing in the Florida Keys since 1974 and formerly of Sandusky, passed away unexpectedly Friday, March 7, 2008, in Lower Keys Medical Center, Key West, Fla.
She was born Dec. 1, 1943, in Sandusky to William Henry and Ethel Chamberlain. Alice was raised in Sandusky and attended St. Mary High School. She graduated from Mercy School of Nursing in Toledo and went on to make nursing her lifelong career. She married Patrick Brady in 1967, and after several moves with the Navy, finally settled down and called Key West home.
She is lovingly survived by her daughters, Lisa (Keith) Dunham of Hope, N.J., and Shana Brady of Big Coppitt Key, Fla.; brothers, Charles, Ralph and David Chamberlain, all of Sandusky; sisters Rita Manner of Sandusky, Marilyn Millis of Huron, Lois Ulmer of Sandusky and Joyce Tight of Amherst; grandsons, Tucker and Cole Dunham of Hope.
She was preceded in death by her husband Patrick Brady; parents, William and Ethel Chamberlain; brothers, Joseph, Robert and Paul Chamberlain; and sister, Ruth Leidorf. She leaves behind many friends and more relatives who remember her as a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister, friend, as well as a caring, compassionate nurse.
Visitation will be from 6-8 today in Dean-Lopez Funeral Home, 418 Simonton St., Key West. A funeral Mass will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Key West.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy should be made to a charity of the donor's choice in memory of Alice M. Brady.
