Mary M. Watts, 91, of Sandusky, died Saturday morning, March 9, 2008, in Firelands Regional Medical Center, Sandusky, after a brief illness.
She was born Nov. 10, 1916, in New London and was a 1934 graduate of New London High School. Mary was also a graduate of The Ohio State University School of Nursing. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Sandusky; Alpha Zi Delta; P.E.O. Sisterhood; Sandusky Yacht Club; and was a former member of Plum Brook Country Club. Living on the water was very special to Mary.
She is survived by three daughters, Jane (James) Delahunt of Huron, Sally (James, deceased) Bostick of South Bend, Ind., and Nancy (Michael) Slattery of Colorado Springs, Colo.; seven grandchildren, Joseph Delahunt, Julie (Olin) Lewin, Michael, Sarah and MatthewSlattery, Carrie (Robert) Brennan and Emily (Andrew) Murray; and four great-grandchildren, Jack and Matthew Murray, Samuel Brennan and Gavin Lewin.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Attorney Raymond Watts, in 2006; one daughter, Ann Watts Mutter in 1989; her parents, Trell and Claudia(VanScoy) Messenger; and one brother, Dr. Harold (Betty) Messenger.
Funeral Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in First Presbyterian Church, 265 Jackson St., Sandusky. The Rev. Kimberly Secrist Ashby will officiate. Inurnment will be in Oakland Cemetery.
