Betty D. Thomas, 94, of Sandusky and formerly of Marblehead, died Saturday, March 8, 2008, in Parkvue Health Center, Sandusky.
She was born Jan. 21, 1914, in Danbury Township the daughter of the late Robert E. and Ida Agnes (Rouse) Dailey. Mrs. Thomas was a telephone operator in California and also for Ohio Bell in Cleveland for 20 years. She was a member of First United Church of Christ, Marblehead, where she was active in Fellowship and previously taught Sunday school. She was a past-president of Church Women United in Ottawa County and Ottawa County Genealogical Society.
Surviving are her daughter, Marjorie Anne Giolenardo of California; brother, Edwin E. Dailey of Oak Harbor; and seven grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her sisters, Mabel Vining, Mildred Kaznoch and Mary Ann Sauvey; and brothers, Ivan, Fred, William, Donald, Paul and Robert Dailey.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. Thursday until funeral services at 11 a.m. at Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, Peninsula Chapel, Lakeside-Marblehead. The Rev. Kay Cox will officiate. Burial will be in Sackett Cemetery, Danbury Township.
