Augustus “Gus” R. Miracle, 59, of Clyde, died Sunday, March 2, 2008, in Arbors of Clyde.
Gus was born Oct. 17, 1948, in Middlesboro, Ky., to Walter and Laura Mae (Standifer) Miracle. His father survives in Clyde. He graduated from Clyde High School in 1967 and had retired in June 2005 from Whirlpool Corp. in Clyde.
Gus enjoyed all sports but was an avid golfer. He truly was a family man, where the grandchildren were the most important aspect of his life.
Survivors, in addition, to his father, include his wife, Susan (Reardon) Nitschke Miracle; two sons, Terry (Kim) Miracle and Stephen Miracle, both of Clyde; and two daughters, Michelle (Scott) Wright of Lowell, Ind., and Angel (Gary) Winters of Demotte, Ind.; nine grandchildren; and his siblings, Edward (Deb) Miracle of Lowell, Virgie Mae (Jeff) Fultz of New Port, N.C., and Kevin Miracle of Clyde.
Gus was preceded in death by a son, David in 1966; his mother; and a granddaughter, Amber.
Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Mitchell-Auxter Funeral Home, 218 S. Main St., Clyde, where funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Rodney Shaull officiating.
