Ronald A. “Boze” Gruhlke, 77, of Sandusky, died Thursday, Feb. 28, 2008, in Firelands Regional Medical Center, Main Campus.
He was born June 6, 1930, in Sandusky. He was employed by Peoples Diary, delivering milk, and Wagner Cab Co. He retired in 1974 from Sandusky Folding Box. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and a former member of the Fraternal Order of Police. He loved his grandchildren.
He is survived by his children, Ronald (Cathy) Gruhlke of Illinois, Cynthia Gruhlke Karbler, Chris (Phyllis) Gruhlke and Wilhelmina (Ron) Grimwood, all of Sandusky; grandchildren, Ronald (Kelli) Gruhlke Jr., Louie (Shannon) Gruhlke, Harold (Yukari) Gruhlke, April (Tony) Karbler, Amy Karbler, Lewis Karbler, Christopher Gruhlke, Tiffany (Andy) Oliver, Heather Gruhlke, Justin (Michelle) Grimwood and Nate Johnson; 15 great-grandchildren; sisters, Barbara Jean Gruhlke and Sandra Gruhlke, both of Norwalk, and Marcina Clifton of Florida; brothers, Arlin (Linda) Gruhlke, Lorain, and Marvin “Whitey” Gruhlke, Norwalk; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Constance, in 2003; parents, Louis and Margaret (Lieb) Gruhlke; sisters, Carmlita Barnum and Noreen Hirt; and a brother, Louie Gruhlke.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Sunday in Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday in the funeral home with Deacon Jeff Claar officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
