Jaime Rodriguez, 68, of Sandusky, died unexpectedly late Tuesday afternoon in his home.
He was born June 26, 1939, in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico, the son of Marcelo Santos and Angela (Candelaria) Rodriguez. He served in the Puerto Rican National Guard for four years. He retired from Sandusky Dressed Beef in 1994, after many years of employment. He enjoyed fishing, bird watching and tending to his houseplants.
His daughter, Ann (Don) Morgan of New Jersey; his sons, Tim of Columbus, and Sgt. 1st Class John (Jo) of Grovetown, Georgia; four grandchildren, James, Daniel, Sebastian, and Lucy; a sister, Tati Rodriguez of Puerto Rico; brother,Kito Rodriguez of Puerto Rico; and nieces, nephews, and other relatives survive him.
His wife, Gayle (Hayes), who died in 1992; a son, Jaime Rodriguez, who died in 1993; his parents; and three brothers, German Sr., Carlos, and Francico Rodriguez, preceded him in death.
Memorial service will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday in Groff Funeral Home, 1607 E. Perkins Ave., Sandusky.
