Thomas A. Cory, 60, of Norwalk, died early Monday morning, April 30, 2012, in his home.
He was born June 13, 1951, in Norwalk, to Horace and Thelma (Fisher) Cory, and was a lifelong area resident.
He graduated from Norwalk High School in 1969. He was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church, Norwalk, and United Auto Workers Local 913, Sandusky. He worked for Janesville Products from 1969 to 1978, and New Departure, Sandusky, where he retired from in 2006. He was a Cleveland sports enthusiast, enjoyed traveling and yard work.
Tom is survived by his wife of 14 1/2 years, Barbara J. (Midkiff) Cory; sons, Tom Cory of Hampshire, Tenn., and Keith Midkiff of Norwalk; brother and sister-in-law, David and Bernie Cory of Norwalk.
He was preceded in death by his twin son, Chris in 1998; and sister, Bonnie Hamner in 1997.
Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, May 2, at Walker funeral Home, 98 W. Main St., Norwalk, where funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, May 3. Rev. Roger Harms will officiate. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
