Shelby Ann Adams, 71, of Monroeville, died Tuesday afternoon in Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky, following a lengthy illness.
She was born Sept. 28, 1936, in Bellevue, the daughter of the late Raymond and Thressa (Beatty) Baughman. She was a 1954 graduate of Milan High School, and attended Southeastern Bible College in Florida. She retired from BancOne in 1996.
Shelby was a member of Willard First Assembly of God, where she was active in many church groups, including Bible study. She enjoyed her morning walks, gardening, knitting and making afghans for her loved ones. She especially cherished spending time with her grandchildren.
Her husband, the Rev. Hobert E. Adams, who she married Aug. 28, 1954; her daughters, Deborah Adams of Sandusky, and Diane (Tony) Moore of Milan; sons, Donald (Gidget) of Milan, and Douglas (Debbie) of Monroeville; grandchildren, Nathan, Jordan, Morgan, Tristan and Bryce; and stepgrandchildren, James, Jon and Jordan, survive her.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. on Friday in Groff Funeral Home, Milan Chapel, 1 S. Main St., Milan, with funeral at 10 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home. The Rev. David Snyder, of Calvary Temple, will officiate. Burial will follow in Bloomingville Cemetery.
