Grace Mae "Baby" Larry, 73, passed away Monday, Feb. 18, 2008, in Columbus.
She was born Dec. 18, 1934, to Katie (Brown) Larry and Charles Larry Sr. in Columbus, Miss., and moved to Ohio as an infant. She was raised and educated in Sandusky. Grace accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior and Redeemer at an early age and continued to serve and praise Him until she departed this life.
She worked at ProvidenceHospital as a surgical technician and later at Scott Paper Co. She enjoyed cooking for her loved ones and spoiling her daughters and grandson.
She leaves to celebrate her life, her daughters, MarCia Thames of Atlanta, Ga., and Denise Thames Jackson of Detroit; one grandchild, Robert Derek Jackson;sisters, Johnnie Mae Woodhouse, and Megeata Larry (Leanel) Jones, both of Columbus; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her son, Rodrick; daughter,Linnette; parents; second mother, Mary Larry; and brother, Charles Larry Jr.
The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until her homegoing celebration at 11 a.m., Monday, in Rhema Christian Center,2100 Agler Road; Pastor Lafayette Scales will officiate.
Interment will be in Green Lawn Cemetery.
The family would like to give special thanks to Maggie Burnes, Helette Greensword, and Beverly Warren for all their devoted time and attention to their mother.
