Nicholas "Nic" Codispoti, 22, of Sandusky, died Sunday morning, Feb. 17, 2008, as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Nic was born July 23, 1985, in Sandusky, and attended Sandusky High School. He was enrolled in the Sandusky Adult Education Welding Program and was also an apprentice with the Sandusky Carpenter's Union. He was a member of St. Andrea Society, and enjoyed water sports, especially fishing and boating. He also liked taking care of his salt-water aquarium and spending time with his dog, Blaze.
His mother, the former Linda Scott, and her husband Scott Burkett of Sandusky; his father, Paul, of Cleveland Heights, Ohio; his sister, Gabriela "Brie" of Sandusky; stepsister, Molly Burkett of Gibsonburg, Ohio; maternal grandparents, Jo and Darl Burdette of Sebring, Fla.; paternal grandparents, Andy and Leota Codispoti of Brewster, Ohio; his girlfriend, Kimberly Jones; his aunt, Traci (John) Halfhill of St. Joseph, Mich.; uncle, Michael Scott of Fremont; and several cousins survive him.
His great grandparents preceded him in death.
Friends will be received 4-9 p.m. Wednesday in Groff Funeral Home, 1607 E. Perkins Ave., Sandusky, where funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday.
