Geraldine E. "Geri" Shupp, 89, of Sandusky, passed away early Monday afternoon, on her birthday, Feb. 11, 2008, at her daughters home in Santa Clara, Calif., after a brief illness.
She was born in Sandusky, Feb. 11, 1919, and attended Sandusky High School. She worked for 30 years at American Crayon Company, loved baking, gardening, and spending time with her family. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Teri L. Shupp of Santa Clara, Calif.; son, Marc R. Shupp of Sandusky; two grandsons; two great-granddaughters; sister, Barbara Roccosalva of Sandusky; three brothers, Clarence (Alberta) Popke, Charles (Eileen) Popke, and Donald (Carol) Popke all of Sandusky; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Orvil W. Shupp, August 20, 1988; parents, Charles George and Gertrude Ann (Reisterer) Popke; and two sisters, Virginia Popke and Mary Hotchkiss.
Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Sunday in David F. Koch Funeral Home, 520 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Visitation also will take place from 9:30 a.m., Monday, until time of funeral services at10:30 a.m., in St. Paul Lutheran Church, 2211 Mills St., Sandusky; Pastor Gary R. Ulrich will officiate. Burial will be in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.
