Marguerite Meyers, 85, of Bellevue, died Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2008, in Bellevue Care Center after a lengthy illness.
She was born Dec. 28, 1922, in Monroeville, the daughter of Joseph and Elizabeth (Ricker) Meyers. Marguerite was a graduate of Notre Dame High School in Toledo and was employed as a sales clerk with various retail businesses over the years. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Bellevue, and enjoyed painting, especially winter scenes, and taking long walks in the winter. She was considered "a real joy" by those who knew her.
Survivors include three sisters, Bette L. (Jim) Ruppert of Bellevue, Mary Ann (Ed) Moneghan of Red Hill, Pa., and Alice (Joe) Reinike of Treasure Island, Fla.; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Ralph, Elmer and Charles Meyers.
Visitation will be 10-10:45 a.m. Friday at Foos and Foos Funeral Service, 151 Yorkshire Place, Bellevue. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday at Immaculate Conception Church with the Very Rev. Keith Stripe, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in Bellevue Catholic Cemetery.
