Martha Louise (Redd) Raish, 90, formerly of Bellevue, passed away peacefully, Friday, Feb. 1, 2008.
Martha was born, and lived most of her life, in Bellevue. She was the third daughter of Maurice and Florence Redd. She was a lifetime member of St. Paul's Church of Christ, where she was active in Sunday School, Women's Guild, church choir, and Altar Guild. Martha graduated from Bellevue High School in 1935. She married Richard Raish on Nov. 12, 1941, and they were happily married for 46 years. She was a loving mother and faithful friend.
She is survived by her daughters, Susan Raish Warden of Chandler, Ariz., Linda Jane Shoaff of Bay Village, Ohio, and Carol Anne Cuccia of Glendale, Calif.; her grandchildren, Todd and Scott Warden, Kurt, Krista (Toole) and Katie Shoaff, and Dena and Rocco Cuccia. She was also blessed with eight great-grandchildren. Martha leaves behind her beloved brother, Robert Redd of Lakeside, Ohio.
Martha was preceded in death by her husband, in 1987; two sisters, Eleanor Meilke and Marian Zehner; and two brothers, Elmer Redd and Bell Redd.
A memorial celebration of life will be at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, in St. Paul's United Church of Christ.
