Esther F. (Arndt) Hoyman, 86, of Vermilion, and formerly ofNorwalk, died Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2008, at Mill Manor, Vermilion,following a brief illness.
She was born Aug. 29, 1921, in Fremont, Wis. She was employed with Trans-Tec for 11 years, retiring in 1989, and owned and operated Silver Beach Cottages. She was a member of United Congregational Church of Christ in Vermilion. She enjoyed reading and crocheting.
She is survived by two daughters, Nancy Konery of Vermilion, and Marilyn "Sally" (Michael) Roberts of Norwalk; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Ruth Stroschein and Vivian Arndt, both of Wisconsin; and a brother, Robert Arndt, also ofWisconsin.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest W. Hoyman, in 1982; daughter, Arlene Alassaf; son, Thomas Hoyman; her parents, Walter Bernard and Helena (Schiessor) Arndt; and twobrothers and a sister.
Friends will be received from 1 p.m., on Valentine's Day, until2 p.m. funeral services in Meadow Green Memorial Park Mausoleum, 2606 Bogart Road, Huron; the Rev. Joan Skelley-Watts will officiate.
