Genevieve A. Ontko, 84, of Marblehead, died Monday, Feb. 11, 2008, in Providence Care Center, Sandusky.
She was born Oct. 28, 1923, in Marblehead, the daughter of Paul and Agnes (Biernot) Glovinsky. Genevieve was a homemaker, a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and the Rosary Altar Society of the church.
She enjoyed cooking and baking and was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Surviving are her husband, Al Ontko, whom she married Nov. 26, 1949; sons, Dennis (Charlene) Ontko, and Roger Ontko, both of Marblehead; daughter, Carol (Larry) Bennice of Port Clinton; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and brothers, Paul (MaryAnn) Glovinsky of Marblehead, and Leo (Nancy) Glovinsky of Sandusky.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, John, Steve, James and Joseph Glovinsky; and sister, Mary Hannes.
Visitation will be conducted from 3-7 p.m. Friday in Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, Peninsula Chapel, Marblehead, where prayer services will be at4 p.m.
Additional visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. Saturday until10:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph Catholic Church,Marblehead. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.
