Elizabeth I. "Betty" Holland, 75, of Sandusky, passed away unexpectedly late Monday evening, Feb. 11, 2008, in The Bellevue Hospital.
She was born Feb. 25, 1932, in Morgantown, W.Va.
She worked for Dixon-Ticonderoga, formerly American Crayon, for 40 years, retiring in 1992. She enjoyed fishing and reading, working in the flower garden and spending time with her family and her kitty, "Ricki."
She is survived by her daughter, Brenda E. (Robert L.) Aumend of Norwalk; son, Jeffery L. Carpenter of Sandusky; grandson, Robert T. Aumend; great-granddaughter, Cassidy Aumend; sister, Audrey E. Heiberger of Sandusky; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Claud Thomas and Georgia Elizabeth (Austin) Lechliter.
Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Thursday in David F. Koch Funeral Home, 520 Columbus Ave.,Sandusky. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m., Friday, in the funeral home; the Rev. Kenneth L. Hiser will officiate. Burial will be in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.
