Willis "Manson" Harvey, 92, of Sandusky, passed away Thursday, Feb. 7, 2008, at his residence after a lengthy illness.
He was born Jan. 20, 1916, in Grenada, Miss., to Rich and Luella (Martin) Harvey. He retired in 1978 from Grill Meats. He belonged to Assembly of Jesus Christ Church, Sandusky, and he loved to garden and fish.
Willis is survived by daughters, Louise (Marvin) Martin and Francine Harvey, both of Sandusky; sons, Richard (Billie) Harvey of Mansfield and Robert Harvey, David (Trevah) Harvey, Willis (Jeanette) Harvey Jr. and Jimmie (Jeanette) Harvey, all of Sandusky; 24 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and loving friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Gertrude Harvey; daughter, Willa Tyson; parents; brother, the Rev. Ennis Harvey; sisters, Iona Meeks, Nancy Booker, Eddie Lee Mays, Frannie Lee Townes and Lula Mae Malone.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. Thursday until funeral services at 1 p.m. in Assembly of Jesus Christ Church, 3510 Beatty Ave., Sandusky. Elder Johnnie Cross will officiate. Burial will be in Perkins Cemetery.
