Kathryn B. "Kay" (Hudson) Welschenbach, 89, of Sandusky, died unexpectedly Friday, Feb. 8, 2008, in Firelands Regional Medical Center.

She and her husband, Glenn, owned Welschenbach Interior Decorating Service from 1948 through 1963. She was a member of Sandusky Church of the Nazarene.

Kay is survived by two daughters, Mary Ann (Tom) Gallagher, and Sally (Howard) Black, both of Sandusky; a sister, Gladys (Tom) Warren, Sandusky; niece, Laurie Wilson, Sandusky; grandchildren, Colleen Valli, Cathleen Baker, Kevin Gallagher and Nanette Petersen; and seven great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death are her husband, Glenn, in 1983; grandson, Daniel Gallagher, who died Oct. 8, 2006; parents, George and Edith (Schemenauer) Hudson; and sisters, Laura Heim and Marian Wilson.

Friends may call from 10 a.m. Monday, until service at 11 a.m., in Church of the Nazarene, 4013 Columbus Ave., Sandusky; Pastor David Flack will officiate. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery. Groff Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
