Lynn J. (Roberts) Hurd, 67, of Vermilion, died Thursday, Feb. 7, 2008, in Community Health Partners West, Lorain.
She was born Jan. 2, 1941, in Lorain, and was a lifelong resident of Vermilion. She worked as a dental assistant for Dr. Stack and Drs. Tellich and Ladaupolis, in Vermilion. She was a member of United Church of Christ Congregational, Vermilion, where she was active in the Women’s Coordinating Committee and bible study. She was a member of the Red Hat Society, Alabaster Jar Ministries, a former Girl Scout leader, a member of Band Boosters and the Vermilion Booster Club.
Survivors include her daughter, Christine Hurd-Clem of Vermilion; son, Daniel Hurd of Vermilion; grandsons, Rob Solnick, Ryan Hurd, Brent Hurd and Seth Hurd; sister, Leslie Ennis of Vermilion; and brother, Tom Roberts of Vermilion.
Preceding her in death are her husband, Edwin Hurd, in 1991; and her parents, George and Grace (Feiszli) Roberts.
Friends may call from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday in Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South St., Vermilion. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. on Monday, in the funeral home. The Revs. Wendell Brooker and Mike Levelle will co-officiate. Interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Vermilion.
