Kenneth H. Cox, 85, resident of Willard, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2008, in Roselawn Manor in Spencerville, Ohio.
He was born July 23, 1922, in Willard, son of the late James Henry and Dallie (Stump) Cox. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving during World War II. He retired from the B&O Railroad after 42 years. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Willard, and a member of the Willard American Legion. He was a lifelong supporter of the Willard Athletic Boosters. Mr. Cox was an avid gardener, especially of his rose garden.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, David and Linda Cox of Fort Wayne, Ind.; his daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Steve Johnson of Troy, Ohio; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three sisters-in-law; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty J. Cox, on July 28, 1994; his parents; three brothers; and a sister.
Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday in Secor Funeral Home in Willard. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, in the funeral home, with the Rev. Ken Gifford officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
