Kathryn J. Kimble, 68, of Sandusky, died Sunday evening, Feb. 3, 2008, in Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky, after a brief illness.
She was born Jan. 31, 1940, in New London, was raised in Greenwich and moved to Sandusky in 1959. Kathryn was employed as dietary supervisor at Providence Hospital for 32 years, retiring in 1997.
She is survived by four sons, James (Karla) Cole of Bellevue and John (Debbie) Cole, Richard (Darlene) Kimble and Randy Kimble, all of Sandusky; one daughter, Rhonda Kimble of Sandusky; 12 grandchildren, Monquie, Jarvis, Jeanene, Lydell, Richie, Ashei, Ariel, Karis, Randy Jr., Jacob, Scottie and Katie; three great-grandchildren, Jaterryon, Zaiazia and Camrhon; also her extended grandchildren: Jocelynn, Marissa and Jordan.
She was preceded in death by her mother: Betty Kimble, her grandparents. Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Baker; and her former companion, Ben Fleming.
Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Thursday at Pfeil Funeral Home, Sandusky Chapel, 617 Columbus Ave., Sandusky, where funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday. The Rev. Kenneth Hiser will officiate. Burial will be in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.
