Ronald E. Welch, 69, of Vickery, died Tuesday evening, April 17, 2012, in The Bellevue Hospital, following a lengthy illness.
He was born Sept. 15, 1942, in Sandusky, and attended Margaretta High School. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Cuban Crisis and was a 33-year employee of Ford Motor Co., retiring in 2000.
He is survived by his daughter Angela Parlow, of Sandusky; son Brian (Mollie) Welch, of Sandusky; friend Mary Clonch; several grandchildren; two sisters, Barb (Wayne) Rohrbaugh, of Castalia and Paula Welch, of Sandusky; brother James (Sandra) Welch; and several nieces and nephews.
Ronald was preceded in death by his parents Eldon and Phyllis (Greene) Welch; and sister Judy.
Friends may call 5-8 p.m. Friday, April 20, at Ransom Funeral Home, 610 S. Washington St., Castalia. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 21, at Rushaw Cemetery, Oak Harbor.
