Jennifer Lynn Buron, 38, of Fredericksburg, Va., went home to wait for us on Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2008, after a three-year battle with breast cancer. She fought bravely and with a smile.

She was born to Robert and Lorraine Butler Sr., in Milan, on Nov. 25, 1969; the youngest of seven children. She served on the Queen's Court for the Milan Melon Festival in 1986; she was both First Runner-up and Miss Congeniality. She was active in band and cheerleading during her school days at Edison High School in Milan; she graduated in 1987.

She attended college at Ohio State University in Columbus where she joined the Junior League and served on the board until moving out of state a year ago. While attending college, she met Carlos Buron, her husband of more than nine years. They married June 13, 1998, and made their home in Columbus, until Jen received her master's degree in business in 2002. They moved to Toledo, where they were delightfully joined by Christian Antonio, 6, and Sophia Lorraine, 4, and their golden lab, Sabastian. The family moved to Fredericksburg in the spring of 2007.

Besides her wonderful husband, and her beautiful family, Jennifer leaves behind her parents, Robert and Lorraine Butler Sr., of Foley, Ala.; a loving brother, Robert (Jody) Butler Jr. of Sandusky; and five sisters; Barbara Butler Bores, of Castro Valley, Calif., Joan (Edward) Knallay, of Milan, Carol (Bob) Dalton and Sharon Mellon, both of Crestwood, Ky., and Shelly (Chuck) Lindecamp, of Milan. She also leaves behind another wonderful family; the Burons must truly be angels on earth. Jennifer was very lucky to have you all in her life; she truly loved you.

Covenant Funeral Home took care of our Jennifer. Mass services were at St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Church of Fredericksburg, where she was a member. Interment was in St. Thomas Catholic Cemetery, near the family cabin in Corry, Pa., after mass services at St. Thomas Catholic Church.
