William Meadows, 85 of Norwalk, died Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2008, in his home.
He was born Sept. 18, 1922, in Portsmouth, Ohio, and lived most of his life in the Sandusky/Norwalk area. He retired from the City of Sandusky in 1983. He was an avid fisherman and coon hunter. He enjoyed stock car and go-kart racing.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Gordon and Mary Bowie of Norwalk; his daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Hubert (J.R.) Ervin of Toledo; seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn L. Meadows in 2003; his son, Donald E. Meadows in 1982; a grandson in 2001; and by several brothers and sisters.
There will be no visitation. Memorial services will be at 11 a.m., Saturday, in Trinity Temple, 4708 Ohio 113, Milan; the Rev. Jack Kiskaden will officiate. Inurnment will be in Oakland Cemetery, Sandusky.
