Florence Mary Baker, 92, of Creston, Ohio, died unexpectedly Saturday, Jan. 26, 2008, in The Cleveland Clinic Foundation with her family by her side.
She was born Feb. 1, 1915, in Sandusky, the daughter of the late Peter and Mary (Schwerer) Schlett. She married Stanley Baker on Sept. 2, 1939. She made her home in Solon, Ohio, and Macedonia, Ohio, prior to moving to Creston. She was a member of Jesus Emmanuel Catholic Church in Seville. She enjoyed traveling, fishing and spending time with her family.
She will be sadly missed by her children, Darlene (Richard) Paulsen of Huron, Dwight (Lori) Baker of Mt. Pleasant, S.C., and Diane (Thomas) Perich of Medina, Ohio; grandchildren, Alisa Paulsen, Cara Paulsen-Stewart, Erik Paulsen, Dawn Thomas, Holly (Joshua) Brown, Justin, Brittany, Jesse and Jamie Baker, Shannon (Jeff) Godlin, and Jason Dosa; great-grandchildren, Christopher and Heather Thomas, Joshua and Isabella Brown, Austin, Jacob, Connor and Tyler Stewart, Mariah, Alexa and Madison Godlin, Gregory and Ryan Dosa; great-great-grandchild, Annalese Godlin; a brother Donald (Angie) Schlett of Sandusky; and her bird, Tweety.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley, in 1968; her parents; and two brothers, Richard and Willis Schlett.
Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. today in Murray Funeral Home, 173 S. Main St., Creston. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Jesus Emmanuel Catholic Church,60 High St., Seville. Burial will be in All Saints Cemetery in Macedonia.
