Marina (Beccari) Moscioni, 87, of Sandusky, died unexpectedly late Wednesday evening, Jan. 23, 2008, in Firelands Regional Medical Center, Main Campus, Sandusky.

She was born in the Republic of San Marino, Italy, April 9, 1920, to Gelasio and Adele (Putti) Beccari. She moved to the United States Dec. 29, 1948. She worked as a seamstress for 17 years at Providence Hospital before retiring. She enjoyed being with her family, gardening, especially growing her roses, playing cards, bocci, and cooking with her family. She was a member of Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church where she was involved with the Bereavement Luncheon Committee; La Comunita Sammarinese di Detroit, Senior Citizens Bowling League, I.A.B. Bocci League for many years and, later, Club Amer-Ital in Bellevue.

Survived by her family, Louise and Joe Kennedy of Sandusky, Marino and Connie Moscioni of Independence, Ohio, Frank and Nanette Moscioni of Phoenix, Ariz.; grandchildren, David Will, Lisa and Kurt Fitzthum, Marina and Joe Williford, Joseph and Elizabeth Will, Carl and Jennifer Will, Michael and Allison Will, Edward Will, Anna Moscioni and Dennis Butcher, Amy and Matthew Schmidt, Sarah and Emily Moscioni. Lovingly remembered as "Nonna" by her great-grandchildren, Shannon, Gage, Chase, Molly, Dominic, Hayley, Jacob, Lucas, Hanna, Trevor, Syler, Cassidy, Katherine, Vincenzo, Reece, Ryann, Alex, Jacob, & Nicholas; and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Giuseppe "Joseph" Moscioni, in 1978; parents; brothers, Aldo & Dominico Beccari; and sisters, Maria Garnoroli, Filomena Conjonti and Julia Casadie.

Visitation will be from 3-7 p.m. Sunday in David F. Koch Funeral Home, 520 Columbus Ave., Sandusky; rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m. Prayers will be recited at 9:40 a.m., Monday, in the funeral home, followed by a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church; the Rev. Marty Nassr will officiate. Entombment will be in Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum, Sandusky.
