Primo Samuel Casali, 72, of Hewitt, Texas, died Jan. 18, 2008, in his home.
He was born Aug. 21, 1935, in Sandusky. He graduated from Sandusky High School in 1953, and studied business at Ohio University. He was the advertising director at theSandusky Register in the late 1960s.
In the 1970s, he was publisher of the Erie County Reporter and Norwalk Voice newspapers. As a musician, he was the bass player in the Ange Damante Trio for many years, before leaving the Sandusky/Huron area in 1980, to relocate to Texas. Upon returning to Ohio, in 1983, he became the advertising director of Habitat, a real-estate publication in the Cleveland area. He moved to Florida in 1990, and became a printing sales executive for Print Dynamics in Ft. Lauderdale.
In 1997, he returned to Texas and worked for Ad Resources, becoming one of its top-selling salespeople.
He is survived by his wife,Melinda Casali of Hewitt; his daughter, Jennifer Philpo of Temple, Texas; his son, Paul Casali of New York, N.Y.; his granddaughter, Ashley Philpo; andseveral aunts and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Primo and Anna Marie Casali.
Private funeral services were conducted for the family, followed by cremation.
