Melvin John Harmon, 60, of Sandusky, died Thursday, Jan. 17, 2008, in The Cleveland Clinic.
He was born Aug. 3, 1947, in Sandusky, and was a U.S. Marine veteran. He was employed by Beckman-Coulter as a trouble shooter. He loved deep sea fishing on the ocean and motorcycles.
He is survived by his wife, Suzanne (Sehlmeyer) Harmon; daughter, Michele Lee (Albert) Mariano of Beaufort, S.C.; son, Michael John Harmon of Sandusky; grandchildren, Andrew Robert Mariano and Zachary Albert Mariano; sister, Marysue (Marwan) Hishmeh of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; brother, Charles Scott Harmon of Fort Lauderdale; and nephews, a niece and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin Charles and Mayme (Cantrell) Harmon.
Friends may call 4-9 p.m. Friday in Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. There will be no services.
