Donna Marion (Rowe) Nestra , 97, of Sandusky, died Wednesday evening, Jan. 16, 2008, in Providence Care Center, Sandusky.
She was born April 6, 1910, in Imlay City, Mich., and moved to Clyde in 1956. She has lived in Sandusky, at Viewpoint, since 1976. She worked at Traveler's Insurance Company, in Detroit, for 10 years, and then worked at Fridley's Supermarket, Clyde, for several years. She had many interests including reading, dancing, watching musicals, cooking, collecting recipes, and traveling; but at the top of her list was spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughter, Diane (Chuck) Allendorf of Huron; a son, John Nestra of Huron; two grandchildren, Amy (Todd) Brown of Huron, and John (Katie) Allendorf, of Columbus; and two great-grandchildren, Casey and Evan Brown.
She is preceded in death by her parents Edward and Ethel (St. John) Rowe.
Private family services were performed at Foster Funeral Home, Huron, with Rev. Tom Goossens, Hartland Hospice Chaplain, officiating. Burial was in Scott Cemetery, Huron.
