Richard C. Warden, 73, of Bellevue, died Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2008, at The Bellevue Hospital.
He was born March 13, 1934, in Dupont, Ohio, to Carl and Lettie (Mullet) Warden, now deceased. Mr. Warden was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Bellevue, Eagles, Moose Post 238, VFW and American Legion, all of Bellevue. He graduated from Bellevue High School in 1952. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force serving during the Korean War. He was the owner/operator of Johnny's Cafe in Bellevue from 1963-75, then from 1989-99. He was a traffic signal electrician for the Ohio Department of Transportation.
On June 22, 1968, he married Sandra (Norman) and she survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Jacqueline Warden, and a son,Stephen Warden, both of California; a stepson, George (Kathy) Eybs of Huron; four grandchildren, locally, grandsons Matthew and Justin Eybs of Huron; his father-in-law, Willis Norman of Bellevue; sister, Elaine (Tom) Rospert of Wadsworth; and brother, Wayne (Susan) Warden of California.
Visitation will be from3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Friday at Auxter Funeral Home, Bellevue, where a funeral service will beat 10:30 a.m.Saturday. The Rev. Wally Seibel will officiate. Burial will follow at Bellevue City Cemetery.
