Louise Marie Comer, 91, ofNorwalk, died Thursday evening, Jan. 3, 2008, at Baton Rouge Care Center in Lima, Ohio.
She was born May 31, 1916, in Zanesfield, Ohio, to Walter and Willie (Beamer) Lugar. She was a 1933 graduate of Zanesfield High School, then moved to Bellefontaine, Ohio.
Following her marriage she moved to Norwalk, where she was a member of the First United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women. She was also a member of the Eastern Star Queen Esther Chapter 15 in Norwalk.
She is survived by her daughters, Joyce (Jack) Pugh of Lima, and Pamela Comer of Chevy Chase, Md.; two granddaughters, Amanda (Khaleel) Ishtayeh and Abigail (Tom) Bowman; five great-grandchildren; a special niece, Jane McDonald; and other nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William E. Comer, who she married Oct. 8, 1935; a son, William P. Comer; sisters, Clara Saxton, Marybelle and Anna Pearl, both in infancy; and brothers, Clarence, Loren, Clinton, Carl, Herman and Floyd.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Monday; an Eastern Star service will be conducted at 12:30 p.m. followed by a 1 p.m. funeral in the Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk; the Rev. Roger E. Smith, pastor of First United Methodist Church, will officiate. Entombment will follow at Meadow Green Memorial Park in Huron.
