Thomas "TC" Campbell, 64, Toledo, and formerly of Sandusky, departed this life Saturday, Dec. 29, 2007, in Flower Hospital,Sylvania, Ohio.
He was born to Elmore and Mary Gillium on Oct. 26, 1943, in Laurel, Miss., and moved to Sandusky at an early age. He graduated from Sandusky High School in 1962, then enlisted in the Army. He was employed by both New Departure-Hyatt and ODOT for many years.
Left to cherish his memory are his father, Elmore Gillium, Laurel; Stella; special friend, Diana Reynolds; daughters, Theresa Reynolds, Columbus, Christina Martin, Washington, D.C., and Tamara (Moore) Land, Calif.; sons, Rodney Koonce and Thomas Hunter Campbell, both of Sandusky; stepdaughter, Ina Sidney, Toledo; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brothers, Rodney Gavin, Laurel, and Dino Gillium, Wellington, Del.; aunt, Lucille Madison, Sandusky; uncle, Robert Collins, Sandusky; favorite cousins, Toney "TC" Collins, Sandusky, and Willie Charles Jones, Laurel; other special friends, Jimmy Daniel, Indiana, Rev. Kevin Fuqua, Charles Lay, EstellaMcKinney, all of Sandusky, and Charles Grover, Toledo;stepsisters and stepbrothers; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary (Rushing) Gillium; maternal grandparents, Eli and Lillie (Madison) Rushing; aunts, Rosie Gavin, Ora Bradford, and Catherine (Rushing) Collins; and very special friend, Lois Sidney.
Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Monday in the Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Further visitation will be from noon until 1 p.m. Tuesday when funeral services will be conducted in Ebenezer Baptist Church, 1215 Pierce St., Sandusky, with the Rev. Curtis A. Brown officiating. Burial will be in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.
