Donald W. "Don" Hallock, 80, of Sandusky, died early Tuesday afternoon, Jan. 1, 2008, in Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky, after a brief illness.
He was born on North Bass Island, Ohio, Aug. 6, 1927, and was a 1945 graduate of Sandusky High School. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Navy. For many years he was a commercial fisherman, retiring in 1992.
He is survived by two brothers, Leslie C. (Betty) Hallock and Marvin G. Hallock; sister, Shirley J. Petrick, all of Sandusky; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clark Garfield and Elizabeth Faye (Sandersen) Hallock; wife, Joyce (Stimmel) Hallock; paternal and maternal grandparents; brother, Weldon "Whitey" Hallock; and nephew, Robert Petrick.
At his request, no visitation or funeral services will be conducted. Arrangements made by David F. Koch Funeral Home, Sandusky.
