Mary A. (Lacko) Foster, 98, of Sandusky passed away at her residence Friday afternoon, May 28, 2010.
She was born Jan. 28, 1912, in Cleveland. Mary and her husband, George, owned and operated Foster Chevrolet for more than 55 years and together celebrated 65 years of marriage. She was an executive secretary for Chevrolet Motor Car Division. She was a member of Plum Brook Country Club and active in the golf league. She was a volunteer for the American Red Cross.
Mrs. Foster is survived by her three sons, David (Sandi) Foster of Castalia, Douglas (Trudy) Foster of Sandusky and Donald (Geri) Foster of Sandusky; six grandchildren, Dawson (Julie) Foster, Eric (Carla) Foster, Tracie (John) Fetter, Tami McGuire, Jeff (Erin) Foster and Jennifer (Tony) Feaster; 16 great-grandchildren; her sister, Irma Driscoll of Cleveland; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George E. Foster, Dec. 28, 2007; and parents, Rudolph and Victoria (Orech) Lacko.
Friends will be received 1-3 p.m. Tuesday in Groff Funeral Home, 1607 E. Perkins Ave., Sandusky. Private family services will be conducted by the Rev. Thomas Fant. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.
