James "Scott" Evans, 47, of Norwalk went to be with his Lord and Savior Thursday, May 27, 2010, at his mother's home surrounded by his loving family in Berlin Heights.
He was born Jan. 24, 1963, in Norwalk to James Sidney "Jim" Evans and Mary Jane (Evans) (Keegan) Salmons. Scott worked at Lear (IAC), B.W.C. and most recently at Maple City Ice in Norwalk.
Scott proudly served in the U.S. Army for three years and the Ohio National Guard for three years; he was deployed to Germany for 18 months during that time. Scott was a loving son, brother, uncle and friend to many.
Scott is survived by his mother, Mary "Jane" Salmons; stepdad, Charlie Salmons; stepmom, Linda Evans; four sisters, Diana (Dan) Evans, Tina (Kirk) Miller, Shelley (John) Evans and Laurie Hayes; brother, Craig (Briana) Keegan; grandmother, Clara Bryant; aunts, uncles, 14 nephews and five nieces; and eight grandnephews and four grandnieces.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Sidney Evans; grandfather, George Bryant; and grandparents, James and Velma Seymour.
A memorial service will be at 4 p.m. Thursday in Norwalk Alliance Church, 2755 US 250 S., Norwalk. Private interment will be at a later date.
