WESTERVILLE, OHIO

Pamela Dawn (Reisig) Moore, 52, died in Riverside Hospital, Columbus, on Friday, Dec. 28, 2007.

She was born Nov. 26, 1955, to Robert and Mary Jane Reisig in Monroe, Mich. and was raised in Norwalk. She graduated from Norwalk High School and attended Bowling Green State University. She has lived in Westerville for 25 years and worked for Macy's department store until her death. She was a loving and dedicated mother, wife, sister, daughter, and friend. She was most proud of her accomplishments as a mother and the privilege of guiding her son, Jack Patrick, to adulthood.

Pam demonstrated her characteristic strength and beauty during her four-and-a-half-year struggle with lung cancer, succumbing to leukemia in the last week. A non-smoker, she was an inspiration and provided hope to others facing the irony of a cancer diagnosis in a young, healthy person.

She is survived by her son, Jack, and his father Jack Moore, both of Westerville; mother, Mary Jane Reisig of Perrysburg, Ohio, mother-in-law, Louise Moore of Columbus; sisters Susan (Eric) Bright of Norwalk, Sandra (Richard) Nickoli of Huron, Janice (Ron) Hall of Tiffin, and Jacki (Jon) Stedman of Perrysburg; brother, Robert (Suzanne) Reisig of Orlando, Fla.; sisters-in-law Barbara (Rob) Ruhl and Deborah (Carl) Merendo; and many nieces, nephews, grandnephews, and a grandniece.

She was preceded in death by her father, Robert E. Reisig.

The family is deeply grateful to Dr. Christopher George and the staff of the Columbus Oncology Associates for the excellent care they provided, and to family friends Drs. Steve Duff and Diane Brown for their unending support. They helped Pam and her family focus on the future.

Family and friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, at the Moreland Funeral Home, Westerville. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, at the funeral home, officiated by the Rev. Charlie Woodward. Interment will be in Blendon Township Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to the Columbus Children's Hospital or the Columbus Cancer Clinic, Home Care Services.
