Florence G. Tolleson, 86, of Sandusky died Tuesday evening, Dec. 25, 2007, in Firelands Regional Medical Center, following a lengthy illness.
She was born Feb. 23, 1921, in Sandusky, and was a 1938 graduate of Sandusky High School. She was employed at Hills Department Store for 32 years, retiring in 1992. She was a member of the First Faith Community Church, Sandusky.
She is survived by one son, Victor E. Tolleson, III of Uniontown, Ohio; three grandchildren, Kimberly of Florida, Tonya of Akron, and Robert of Little Rock, Ark.; two great-grandchildren, Ronald and Marissa; special friend, Paula Hoffman of Sandusky; and nieces and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Victor E. Tolleson Jr., in 1966; her parents, John & Gertrude (Heinzer) Hoffman; and two brothers, J. Robert & Clifford Hoffman.
Friends may call from noon until time of service at 2 p.m. Friday at the Pfeil Funeral Home, Sandusky Chapel, 617 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. The Rev. Eric A. Rickel will officiate. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.
