Mildred J. (Swain) Sidoti, 85, of Sandusky, went home to be with the Lord early Thursday morning in Stein Hospice Care Center.
She was born Sept. 3, 1922, in Alliance, Ohio. She was employed with Cedar Point as a switchboard operator for 20 years. Truly dedicating her life to the Lord, she was a member of the Sandusky Church of the Nazarene. She enjoyed playing the piano at the Erie County Senior Center, and bowled for more than 40 years.
Mildred is survived by a daughter, Silvia Didion of Sandusky; three sons, Tony (Susan) Sidoti, Steve (Betti) Sidoti, and David (Sherri) Sidoti, all of Sandusky; 15 grandchildren; 28 great-grand-children; sister, Lauretta Jenkins of Sandusky; and three brothers, Arthur (Gene) Swain of Missouri, and Donald (Barbara) and Eugene (Carol) Swain, both of Sandusky. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tony Sidoti, on Jan. 26, 1995, who she married Feb. 19, 1924; and her parents, James and Laura (Mawer) Swain.
Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Friday in the Groff Funeral Home, 1607 E. Perkins Ave., Sandusky, with the Rev. David Flack of the Sandusky Church of the Nazarene officiating. Burial will follow at Oakland Cemetery.
