Lilian Kaitsa, 61, Sandusky, died Monday in Firelands Regional Medical Center-Main Campus, following a brief illness.
She was born May 14, 1946, in Markbreit, Germany. Kaitsa received a Bachelor of Arts in Industrial Design from the Cleveland Institute of Art. She was a member of St. Tikhon Eastern Orthodox Church.
She is survived by her brother, George (Sharyl) Kaitsa of Powell, Ohio; two nieces, Nicole (Kent) Carleton of Lake Orion, Mich., and Celeste Kaitsa of Dublin, Ohio; nephew, Corey Urbanski of Dublin; great-niece, Olivia Carleton; and cousin, Mark (Betsy) Walter, Fremont.
Her parents, George and Nadezda (Ignatenkov) Kaitsa Sr., preceded her in death.
At 9 a.m. Saturday morning, a Liturgy for the Departed will be held in St. Tikhon Eastern Orthodox Church. Friends may call from 10 a.m. Saturday until a Pannihida memorial service at 10:30 a.m., in Groff Funeral Home, 1607 E. Perkins Avenue, Sandusky; the Rev. Ilia Marzev will officiate. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery.
