LaVerne M. Snider, 78, of Sandusky, passed away early Sunday morning, Dec. 16, 2007, in Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky, after a brief illness.
She was born April 28, 1929, in Cleveland. She worked at Philco and the Sandusky Yacht Club for many years and later she worked at Ohio Veterans Home for 10 years, retiring in 1995. She loved her family and her grandchildren. She was a member of Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church.
Survivors include her daughters, Susan M. (Michael) Walski of Sandusky and Lori A. (David) Rhodes of Sandusky; sisters, Arlene Stiadle of Morgantown, W.Va., Shirley (Jim) Jacobs of Geneva, Ohio, Alice Jackson of Sandusky and Harriet Smith of Cleveland; brother, Arthur Hubble of Williamsport, Pa.; six grandchildren, Matthew, Abigail and Maxwell Walski and Megan, Emily and Molly Rhodes; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Lucille (Yormker) Hubble; sisters, Betty Hubble, Phyllis Lasko and Evelyn Wobser; special nephew, Mark Jackson; and longtime friend, Eddie Dillen.
Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. today at David F. Koch Funeral Home, 520 Columbus Ave., Sandusky, where funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Marty Nassr will officiate. Burial will be in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.
