David Keaton, 88, of Sandusky, died Thursday evening, Dec. 13, 2007, in the Ohio Veterans Home.
He was born in Sandusky, Sept. 3, 1919. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in World War II. He was employed by the U.S. Postal Service, retiring in 1978.
He is survived by three sons, David (Arlinda) Keaton, Lorain, Ohio, Rick (Tempie) Keaton and Maurice Keaton, both of Sandusky; two grandchildren, and several other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Lena Keaton in 1986; parents, Jesse and Mary (Hanks) Keaton; and brothers and sisters, Essie, Louise, Emma, John Lester, Sylvester, John, Jessie, Jeff, Monroe, Luke, Lawrence, Rosalee andElizabeth.
Friends may call from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Monday in Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Funeral services will at1 p.m. Tuesday in Ebenezer Baptist Church, 1215 Pierce St., Sandusky; the Rev. Curtis A. Brown will officiate. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery, Sandusky, where the American Legion Post 83, willconduct military honors.
