Eva Leona Sisson, 78, Caledonia, died Thursday, Dec. 13, 2007, at her residence, surrounded by family. Eva was born on Sept. 21, 1929, to Morey Thompson and Mildred Nash Pickens in Marion, Ohio.
Eva loved her family and friends very much and her church was her life. She enjoyed camping and was always expressing her artistic gifts through ceramics, paintings and other forms of art.
She is survived by her sons; Robert L. (Sharon) Jr., Marion, Thomas C., Cincinnati, and David A. Sisson, Marion; her daughter; Linda (John) Brannan, Prospect, Ohio; brothers, Mike Pickens and Gerald Thompson, both of Marion, Harold Thompson, California; sisters, Mary Hawkins, Marion and Ida Van Gorden, Michigan; nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Eva was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Sisson Sr.; parents, Morey and Mildred; daughter, Ruth Ann Sisson; and brothers, Earl "Jack" and Morey E. Thompson.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Friday, at Gunder/Hall & Folk Funeral Directors, 347 West Center St., Marion. Funeral Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, in the Fite Memorial Baptist Church, 497 David St., Marion, with Pastor David Caryle will officiate. Burial will follow in Marion Cemetery.
