Richard James Logan Sr., 69, of Wakeman, died Sunday, Dec. 09, 2007, in Fisher-Titus Medical Center in Norwalk.
He was born Feb. 25, 1938, in Wakeman. He served in the U.S. Army from 1957-59, and served in the Army Corps Reserve until 1963. He worked at M.A. Harrison machine shop for many years, and was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church. He enjoyed tending to his rose garden, seek and find games and crossword puzzles.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia (Prince) Logan of Wakeman; children, Ann (John) Rinner of Norwalk, Richard (Maureen) Logan of Parma Heights and Russell (Laurie) Logan of Milan; sisters; Kathleen (Robert) Davidson of Birmingham and Erma Camp of Amherst; brothers, Edward (Virginia) Logan of Florida and William "Bill" Logan of Sandusky; two grandchildren, Matthew and Joseph; and numerous nieces and nephews
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward J. Logan in 1994 and Marien Mae (Bates) Logan in 1992; a brother, Theodore Logan in 2000; and sister, Dorothy Schieve-Hahn in 2007.
Friends may call from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main St., Norwalk, where a rosary will be recited at 8:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Paul Catholic Church, 91 E. Main St., Norwalk. The Rev. Frank Kehres, pastor of the church, will officiate. Burial will be at St. Paul Catholic Cemetery with military honors, and a luncheon will follow in the parish center.
