Kathryn M. Wade, 79, of Huron, died early Saturday morning in Firelands Regional Medical Center, Sandusky, following a lengthy illness.
She was born Sept. 9, 1928, in Sandusky, daughter of Carl and Marcella (Corso) Dahm. She was a 1946 graduate of Huron High School. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, where she was a former member of the Altar and Rosary Society.
She is survived by her daughter, Kathleen Mackall of Sandusky; sons, Glen (Deborah) and Rick (Renee) Wade, both of Sandusky; six grandchildren, Paula Freehling, Stephanie Mackall, Michael, Kevin, Nick and Rachel Wade; seven great-grandchildren; and a brother.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Chester, who died in 1993; her parents; and her maternal grandparents, August and Veronica Corso.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Monday in Groff Funeral Home, 1607 E. Perkins Ave., Sandusky. Prayers will be recited at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, in the funeral home, followed by a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary Catholic Church, 429 Central Ave., Sandusky. Entombment will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
