Jack Curtis Finley, 53, went home to be with the Lord Monday, Dec. 3, 2007, in Casa de Blessing, Escondido, Calif., after an eight-month battle with brain cancer.
He was born Aug. 31, 1954, in Sandusky, to Jack and Patricia Finley.
He was married to his first wife on March 6, 1976, and moved to California in 1977.
He was employed by Reliant General for the last 15 years, 10 of which he worked as a compliance analyst.
He was a member of Pomerado Christian Church, where he was loved by all. Jack was a man of God and shared his faith with all he met.
He was a caring husband to Genie, his wife of 12 years, a loving father to his sons, Chris (Katherine) and Matt, and a playful grandpa to four-month-old Payton, who brought him great joy in his final days. He is also survived by his mother, Patricia; brothers, Mike (Pat), Terry (Jayne), and Scott (Lisa); sisters, Diana Failor,Natalie (Keith) Edwards, and Linda (Patrick) Todi, all of Ohio; and his first wife, Michaelyn Hyatt of San Marcos, Calif. He was a big fan of the San Diego Chargers and San Diego Padres, and loved to make people laugh.
Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 15, at Green Valley Church, 11501 Rancho Bernardo Road No. 300, San Diego, Calif.
