Helen Mae Markle, 91, of Bellevue, died Friday, Dec. 7, 2007, in Bellevue Care Center.
She was born Dec. 3, 1916, in rural Bellevue, the daughter of George and Cora Maude Howey Frisch. She married Leonard C. Markle on Jan. 27, 1938, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Bellevue. Together they operated a farm on Potter Road for 52 years.
She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, the Castalia Resthaven Seniors, Four County Young at Heart Senior Center, Historic Lyme Village, and The Car Coddlers of Ohio.She enjoyed the activities and friendship of all in these memberships.
Survivors include her cousin, Daniel Frisch, and a host of friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband on June 8, 1990.
Visitation will be 2-6 p.m. Sunday, and funeral services at 10 a.m. Monday, at Foos and Foos Funeral Service, 151 Yorkshire Place, Bellevue.
The Rev. Stephen Seibel, Pastor of St. John's Lutheran Church, will officiate. Burial will follow in York Chapel Cemetery.
