Joel Eugene Graves Sr., 62, of Milan, died Friday, Nov. 30, 2007, in Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky.
He was born Dec. 24, 1944, in Sandusky and graduated from Western Reserve High School in 1962. He was chairman of the board of Westside Wayout Club, Indianapolis, from 2004-07; and was an active member of the Fellowship of AA for 25 years and counting.
He is survived by his daughters, Cheri (Chad) Sears of Indianapolis, Heather Gwin of Germany and Shawna Moyer of Dayton, Ohio; a son, Joel (Ann) Graves STSC U.S. Navy, on the USS Philadelphia; grandchildren, Jessica and Christine Graves, of Crystal Lake, Ill., and Elizabeth, Samantha and Anthony of Elmhurst, Ill.; five sisters, Lynn (Gene) Montelauro of Goshen, Ind., Teri Ross of Norwalk, Susan Graves of Sandusky, Jill Graves of Milan, and Cindy Hildebrand of Berlin Heights.; three brothers, Paul A. (Peggy) Graves Jr. of Swanton, Ohio, James H. (Sue) Graves of Norwalk and Daniel S. (Monica) Graves Sr. of Sandusky.
His was preceded in death by his parents, Paul Sr. and Mary (Michel) Graves.
Friends may call from 6-9 p.m. Monday at Foster Funeral Home, 410 Main St., Huron. A funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Peter Catholic Church, 430 Main St., Huron. Burial will be in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.
